Cock O'Barton, Cheshire

Set in the Cheshire countryside between Chester and Shrewsbury is the well-known Cock O'Barton. While the earliest reference to an inn at Barton dates from 1603, in 2006 the present owners undertook a major refurbishment of this Grade II listed building to create one of Cheshire’s best dining experiences and local pubs.

The design has a contemporary feel with traditional values. The original pub has been transformed into the dining room with the modern extension housing the bar and lounge. Outside the courtyard provides a sheltered and heated drinks and dining area.

The attention to detail in the refurbishment included the integration of a comprehensive commercial audio system to provide ambience enhancing background music. With the audio installation being built around a digital system processor differing music content and volume levels are easily routed, adjusted and controlled for the whole complex.

While the system is very user friendly for staff, the customer experience is further enhanced by the benefits that the sophisticated electronics bring. These include:-

The private dining room lies to the back of the courtyard and includes its own dedicated hi-fidelity sound system and Audio-visual facility. The hunting lodge theme and private terrace with commercial outdoor hi- fidelity loudspeakers help to produce a special ambience for parties and dinners with views of the Welsh countryside.
